Policies

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

9:00 am - 6:00 pm
7 days a week

METHODS OF PAYMENT

We accept Cash, Checks, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Personal checks for all deposits and balances are due TWO WEEKS prior to your departure date.  Checks may be mailed in for your conveience. 

REQUIREMENTS

All renters must be at least 21 years of age and have proof of a valid Drivers License.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT

Deposit fees to reserve a unit are $200.00.  This deposit is applied toward the balance and is NON-REFUNDABLE.  If you cancel 30 days or more from your departure date, we may issue credit toward a future rental (except on Holidays), good for up to one year.

There are absolutely NO CASH BACK REFUNDS on reservation deposits.

BALANCE OF RENTAL FEES

The balance of rental fees is due in full ONE MONTH prior to your departure date.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

All customers must leave a security deposit when renting a unit. The security deposit is $500.00 on most units.  Our Class A Fleetwood Terra Motor Home requires a $1000.00 deposit.  This deposit must be made in the form of CASH or MONEY ORDER on your departure date, or PERSONAL CHECK two weeks in advance.  All CHECKS must be received by mail within two weeks of your departure date.  We DO NOT accept credit cards for the security deposit.

NOTE: The deposit may be higher if your insurance deductible exceeds $500.00.

This deposit will be fully refunded if the unit is brought back clean, damage/violation free and in accordance to the rental agreement. 

RENTAL DAYS

Each 24 hour period counts as one day.  If you need extra days you must pay for them BEFORE you leave.  If you should need to keep the unit longer, please call us.  If the unit is not scheduled to go out, you may keep it and pay cash when you return or have it taken out of your security deposit.  Should the unit have another reservation and you do not return it, you will be charged double your per day rate for every day it is late.

DELIVERIES AND PICK-UPS

All units must have a scheduled delivery and pick-up time.  This appointment must be made with the office during normal business hours.  It is very important that you are on time for your scheduled delivery and pick-up, as we may have numerous units to move in one day.  All units must be picked-up between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.  You may return the unit anytime before 6:00 pm.

EARLY RETURNS

All rentals are for a contracted period of time.  There are NO REFUNDS for early returns.

LATE CHARGES

We DO enforce late charges.  There will be no charge if the unit is returned on time according to your pick-up time.  There is a $25.00 charge for the first hour you are late, and $15.00 for every 1/2 hour thereafter.  The amount charged will not exceed one rental day. PLEASE CALL US IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE.

CLEANING FEES

Most places charge an up front cleaning fee of $50.00 - $100.00.  This charge is usually non-refundable whether you bring it back clean or not.  As a courtesy to our customers, we do not charge a cleaning fee.  Instead, we give you the unit clean and it must be returned clean, or you will then be charged a cleaning fee.  The fees vary according to the condition of the unit upon return.  We require that you sign an inspection sheet, inspecting the unit for any cleaning or damage, prior to departure.

MILEAGE

Motor Homes are allowed 100 miles free per day.  Extra mileage may be pre-purchased for .25 per mile.  This money is NON-REFUNDABLE, meaning that if you do not use the extra miles, you will not get your money back.  Should you bring the Motor Home back over the specified mileage, you will be charged .49 per mile.

GENERATORS AND TOWING

We do not charge an hourly rate for generator usage.  This means that any unit equipped with a generator has unlimited usage.  We also do not charge to tow a trailer behind our Motor Homes.  Each one comes equipped with a receiver and electrical plug.

GAS/PROPANE USE

The gas and propane tanks will be given to you Full.  If you do not refill the tanks and bring in a receipt as proof, you will be charged a $25.00 convenience fee + $7.00 per gallon, per tank.

TOWING REQUIREMENTS

Your vehicle must be equipped with the proper trailer hitch, receiver and ball ( 2" - 2 5/16" ).  You must have the proper electrical connector for all trailer hook-ups ( Flat 4 or Round 7 ).  A brake controller is required for any unit over 4000 pounds.  You may rent a brake controller from us for $25.00, but your vehicle must already have the plug installed under your dash.  Please make sure that you have all the correct plugs and connectors.  There are no refunds if you do not.

It is YOUR responsibility to have your vehicle ready to tow.  This means all wiring, connectors, balls, brake controllers, hardware, receiver height ( trailer must sit level with truck ) and anything else pertaining to YOUR truck is YOUR obligation.   It is in your best interest to have your vehicle ready to tow.

Due to liability reasons, we are not responsible for hooking our unit up to your vehicle.  You are responsible for connecting the brake controller, hitching the trailer to your vehicle, applying the weight distribution bars, etc.  We will, however, provide someone there to guide you through the procedure.

TIRES

You will be furnished with a spare tire on your rental unit.  You are responsible for repairing or replacing all flat or blown tires.

THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55MPH WHEN TOWING A VEHICLE.  These tires will not stand up at speed of 70MPH.  Repairs are $40.00 per tire (if repairable).  A fee of $100.00 for Tent Trailers, $200.00 for Travel Trailers and $300.00 for Motor Homes will be charged for all tires returned damaged.

INSURANCE

All rental units must have FULL COVERAGE insurance with Towing coverage.  The binder must show both the RENTER and Vacation Station Rentals as additionally insured.  Your insurance company may fax us a binder, or you may purchase insurance from Vacation Station Rentals at a daily rate of:

  • Tent Trailers - $10.00 per day
  • Travel Trailers and 5th Wheels - $20.00 per day
  • Motor Homes - $20.00 - $30.00 per day ( 7 days or more only ) 

WE ONLY OFFER INSURANCE ON MOTOR HOMES ON RENTALS OF 7 DAYS OR MORE.   IF YOU ARE GOING FOR LESS THAN 7 DAYS, YOU MUST PROVIDE AN INSURANCE BINDER THROUGH YOU OWN AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY.

PETS

Some of our units are Pet Friendly.  Please let us know if you have pets so that we may put you in the proper unit.

SMOKING

There is NO SMOKING in any of our units.  If you do smoke in our units, you will forfeit your ENTIRE security deposit.
